Dear all,
We must first thank the wire to have lead you to us.
DQN.NYC is a selector store that represents designers and artists whom our small team sought for globally. The first launch is an invitation letter for you to part-take on our endeavour to build a community where the spotlight shines on the left-field.
Who We Are
The name DQN comes from a Japanese slang term "ドキュン" (do-kyun) . It was an internet shorthand used on Japanese online forums to describe people acting recklessly, or foolishly, similar to calling someone a “delinquent” or “troublemaker”. For us, it’s about taking what was once dismissed or misunderstood and give it identity. It’s a statement that embraces the beauty of rawness.
DQN.NYC is born at the intersection of art, fashion, and individuality; for our dynamic team have set foot in fields of fine art, fashion design, as well as music. We’re not here to dilute down as a copy & paste online supermarket, or a so-called curated clothing store that lacks essence. DQN.NYC is for people who carry their individuality like armour, and those who live to inspire. Under the current pulsing consumerism dome to entrap us within the numb garden, we would like your shopping experience to rather feel like a conversation, than a short talk.
We thrive to create the shopping experience from a place that appreciates the sub-cultures, which the designs and artworks speak of. As a selector store, every designer and product in our collection is carefully handpicked. Every brand that we represent is in official partnership with us, through shared vision. We would like to make sure that each piece carries the uniqueness that is cohesive with our philosophy, with un-compromised quality.

KIMJOALIER is from Switzerland, a jeweller based in Barcelona, Spain. He has over 12 years’ jewellery making experience. He makes silver jewellery that lasts, bringing the same energy to accessories and clothing.
No seasons. No trends. Just pieces that outlive you.
HiFi-SciFi

HiFi-SciFi is part shop, part archive, part ongoing experiment. They offer a curated selection of garments, objects, and text.
Each item, whether newly made or unearthed, is selected with a collector’s eye and an artist’s intent. Everything from rare books, archive fashion and vintage to one-off designs and artefacts. HiFi-SciFi host events, throw parties, and build moments that connect people through sound, space, and style. This is a portal for collectors, makers, and thinkers.
NIICOLÉ POLLARD

Niicolé Pollard’s speciality is intuitive, masterly, unexpected arrangements of earthly treasures: freshwater pearls, onyx, malachite, and metals.
She takes cue from Renaissance jewel configurations and the extravagance of costume jewellery.
Each precious piece is made to order, by Niicolé’s expert hand, in her studio in Aotearoa.
XalWORCLO

XaLWORCLO was founded in 2024, drawing inspirations from the contradictions, needs, traditions, and future aspirations of Gen Z.
A playful everyday aesthetic rooted in pragmatism, not attention-seeking, catching you off-guard with thoughtful detailing that resembles a stealthy rebellion.
4TRA

4Tra was founded in 2018. The name signifies a mechanism within the brand’s identity that resembles transformation and synergy.
The brand is heavily inspired by the techno and punk-rock culture scenes across the globe, whose spirits 4TRA regards as the extraction of the design philosophy.
